Shelterbelt Tree Program -
2021 Program CLOSED
Every year, the County of Barrhead offers residents a chance to buy a variety of shelterbelt trees. The Shelterbelt Program commences January 4th, 2021.
This program offers many benefits, including decreasing soil erosion, reducing wind damage to crops, increasing pollinator ands wildlife habitats, improve safety in winter travel due to reduced snow drifting and much more.

NOTE: Tree orders will be secured once payment is received. Please contact the County Office prior to placing your order to confirm availability. We strongly encourage the use of online banking, e-transfer (firstname.lastname@example.org) or mailed cheques. To discuss payment options, please call the County Office at 780-674-3331.
UPDATE: Shelterbelt Trees will be available for pick up on May 13 and 14 at the Ag Department yard (on the south side of the Public works yard) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Upon arrival, please remain your vehicle and a County staff member will assist you.
Note: Masks must be worn at all times to prevents the spread of COVID-19.
