Recycling services in the County of Barrhead are managed by Circular Materials, a national not-for-profit organization building an efficient, province-wide recycling system. Recycling stations are available at:
Each recycling station accepts a wide variety of materials in a mixed collection bin (no need to sort your recycling). Just put all materials in a blue or clear plastic bag and bring to any recycling station.
Accepted materials include:
- Cardboard
- Paper
- Cartons
- Aluminum cans & other metals
- Plastics
- Glass
- Foam packaging
- Empty aerosol containers
Oil recycling is available at the Barrhead Regional Landfill ONLY on Thursdays from 11 AM - 5 PM. Used oil can be poured into the receptacle, and empty containers and pails can be left for pick up if no longer needed.
