Our Peace Officer is appointed to enforce the Traffic Safety Act. This includes offences like speeding, stop sign violations, commercial vehicle safety, and more. Regular patrols are conducted throughout the County to monitor for these traffic safety issues. To report a traffic safety related concern, contact 780-284-9757.

Traffic Safety Plan
The County is required by Alberta Public Safety and Emergency Services to maintain a Traffic Safety Plan. The County's Traffic Safety Plan outlines areas of concern and priorities for our Enforcement Services department to target using education, engineering, and enforcement. The Traffic Safety Plan covers a three-year period between 2023 and 2026 and is required to be updated at the end of that period; however, amendments may be made sooner to address new trends or concerns.

Traffic Safety Calendar
The Alberta Traffic Safety Calendar provides guidance to enforcement agencies throughout the province on enforcement themes for each month of the year. This helps guide enforcement efforts and may result in Joint Force Operations between our department and other law enforcement agencies such as the Alberta Sheriffs and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
