When are Council meetings held?

Regular meetings of the Council of the County of Barrhead No. 11 are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each and every month commencing at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the County Administration Building.


Are Council Meetings open to the public?
Yes.  You are welcome to attend & observe regular Council meetings or you may wish to stay for just an item that interests you.


How can I contact a member of Council?

Will issues discussed with a Councillor automatically be placed on a meeting agenda?
No.  If you wish to have a matter considered at a Council meeting you must write a letter addressed to the Reeve and Council. You can mail your letter to the address above, email it to info@countybarrhead.ab.ca, or send it by fax to 780-674-2777.  For more information on having an issue or concern placed on the agenda, please click here.

If the nature of your concern can be handled by County Administration it may not need to proceed to Council.

If you have made a request to have an item placed on the agenda, what happens next?
You will be advised of the date and approximate time your issue will be discussed.  You will be advised by letter of the Council's decision regarding your issue.
