Highways
The County of Barrhead is situated on a major provincial corridor, at the junction of Highway 33 and Highway 18.  Highway 33, nicknamed the Grizzly Trail, is the shortest route to Peace River Country.  Secondary Highway 651 connects us to Highway 2 North and South. 
 
The County of Barrhead also works towards paving important linkage and industry roads.  These include the road to Northplex and Kiel Industrial Park, as well as the road into Manola and Richardson Milling. 
 
Trucking Firms

Couriers
The County of Barrhead is serviced by many couriers, such as DHL, UPS, Purolator, and Canada Post. 
 
Ferry Service 
The Klondyke Ferry Crossing is a cabled ferry crossing the Athabasca River.  This ferry services some of the County's most popular historic and recreation visits, nearing the Klondike Trail.  

The Klondyke Ferry is in operation 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily, from early May to approximately mid-November.  Click here for current ferry and schedule information.
