Preserving a healthy environment is key to agricultural success. An Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) can help you identify and address environmental risks in your operation.

Why get an EFP?
  • Increase your operational efficiency & reduce farm costs
  • EFPs can be used as a marketing tool if you sell directly to the public
  • More and more commodity groups & agencies require EFPs
  • Many government programs require EFPs to get funding
  • Increase your understanding of legal requirements related to environmental issues
EFPs are FREE to obtain, strictly confidential, and valid for 10 years before needing renewal!

EFP Workshops
Throughout the year, County of Barrhead often hosts interactive workshops to provide in-person assistance with completing an EFP.  We often also provide information on other funding available to producers, including the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership and the Resilient Agricultural Landscapes Program.
