Advance Vote:
An advance vote will be held for the 2025 Municipal Election. More details will be provided when information is available.
Voter Eligibility:
To be eligible to vote, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a Canadian citizen
- Be a resident of the County of Barrhead in Alberta on Election Day
Register to Vote:
You can pre-register to vote at Elections.ab.ca/Voters/Register-to-Vote. Registering prior to September 15, 2025 ensures that your name will be on the vote register. However, you may still register at the polling station if eligible, with proper identification.
Voter Identification:
Voters must provide valid identification when at the polling station. Read more about voter identification requirements here, or call the County of Barrhead for more clarification.
